    Hey Fitness Rebels!

Maybe it’s the fresh paint or the smell of the Rogue equipment, but we have noticed that everyone is pushing hard in the new place.  Keep it up!  Continue to strive for improvement.  This CrossFit stuff is a lifetime commitment to improve yourself physically and mentally.  As you continue to push through these workouts, remember that quality in all the movements has priority over speed and quantity!  Speed and quantity will show up as the quality of your movements increase.  When you think you have the basics down pat, go over them again and look for ways to improve.  It is a worth while effort!

    Mobilize!

    Hey folks!

After completing a particularly brutal week of workouts a few of you may be finding new places that are tender, sore or tight!  We thought it was about time to remind everyone to check out mobilitywod.com for some of the best videos about stretching and mobility on the internets.  Stretching and mobility are very important to this whole fitness process.  You won’t be improving much if you are always in pain or have to take time off for an injury and besides, healthy athletes can train harder!

This next part is important.  If you feel pain or numbness while stretching or working out, STOP!  I made the mistake of pushing through a bit of tingling during overhead squats only to have my right arm remain numb for several days.  My lesson learned is so you don’t have to experience it!

If you have any questions about this mobility stuff, feel free to ask Coach Reilly or myself, we are a little obsessive when it comes to K-Star and mobility!
